Job Description

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) is actively seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our dynamic and rapidly growing faculty and lead a new clinic within our system. The program will be located 26 miles from our main campus, and will have simulation, Varian TrueBeam, onsite infusion services, and integrated multidisciplinary cancer medicine and selected surgical oncology support.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience following training.

The candidate will be certified by the American Board of Radiology and possess the technical and scholarly skills and clinical experience necessary to establish and maintain an active clinical multidisciplinary practice.  Our goals include meeting the needs of a rapidly growing community and a rapidly growing cancer program.  Adjunct faculty appointment with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center will be recommended commensurate with accomplishments.  Opportunities for scholarly activities including clinical investigation, enrollment of patients on investigator initiated, MDACC–sponsored, and NCI-cooperative group studies are available.

The new Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is now housed in an iconic 330,000 square foot patient-centered, state-of-the-art facility containing the full spectrum of oncology care. The services are provided across two campuses (three campuses in fall of 2022) providing a full range of radiation oncology services including IMRT, SBRT, IGRT, 3D conformal radiotherapy, VMAT, 4DCT, HDR brachytherapy and non-sealed isotopes’ tumor ablation. Equipment includes Varian linear accelerators: TrueBeam (three) and an Edge with BrainLab ExacTrac Dynamic Radiosurgery system, GammaMed HDR After-loader, GE CT/Simulator, Eclipse RTP system, and Aria record/verification and EMR.
