Responsibilities
Partnered with a facility in central Illinois that has an opening for a Teleradiologist to provide locum coverage.
About the Opening:
Schedule: 5 or 7 days per week, 5p-3a
No call
Case Volume: 50-60 RVUs per shift
Case Types: Reading all stats and ER cases; CT, US, and some MR
PACS: Visage
Must be board-certified
Support a dedicated team and cover shifts that fit your schedule.
Interpreting a variety of imaging studies including CTs, MRIs, and X-rays during night shifts.
Delivering clear and accurate radiology reports to help clinicians make timely decisions.
Collaborating with an engaged team of on-call specialists and facility staff for seamless patient care.
Maintaining high-quality performance and a friendly attitude even during late-night hours.
Communicating effectively with referring physicians to ensure thorough follow-up care.
Adhering to clinical guidelines and best practices while managing remote workflow.
Staying flexible and proactive, supporting both team and patient needs throughout your shift.
Qualifications
Must have valid radiology board certification or equivalent credentials.
A current medical license in Illinois is essential for this role.
Previous experience in teleradiology enhances your candidacy.
Comfort with overnight work and handling night shift responsibilities is a must.
Reliable access to necessary technology for remote image interpretation is required.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams are key.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered MD or DO Illinois state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as a Radiologist
One year of EMR experience
Board Certified
Possession of board certification or equivalent credentials in radiology.
Demonstrated proficiency in teleradiology practices during evening shifts.
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Comprehensive understanding of diagnostic imaging protocols and quality assurance standards.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to delivering timely and accurate radiological interpretations.
Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, technology-driven work environment in Western New York.
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
