Responsibilities
Reputable hospitals in central Louisiana have a locum opportunity for a remote General Radiologist to provide locum coverage.
Opportunity Overview:
Schedule; Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
No call required
Case Volume: 65 RVUs per shift
Setting: Remote, reading for multiple locations
Modalities: CR, RF, US, CT, MR
Additional Subspecialties: Body, MSK, or neuro
Technology: RPCE Tech Stack, Powerscribe 4.0
Must be board-certified
Provide reliable remote radiology support with a friendly, can-do attitude.
Review and interpret imaging studies accurately to help guide excellent patient care.
Collaborate comfortably with radiology teams and referring physicians across Central LA.
Ensure timely and clear communication of findings to boost overall workflow.
Adapt to new technologies and evolve with innovative imaging practices.
Maintain high diagnostic standards while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.
Contribute to a supportive, team-focused environment every day.
Qualifications
Board certification in radiology with strong expertise in remote imaging technology
Proven experience providing high-quality locum coverage in diverse settings
Familiarity with Central LA healthcare practices and local medical networks
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
Flexible availability to accommodate variable schedules and emergency consultations
Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and upholding industry compliance
A warm, approachable demeanor that fosters trust and seamless care delivery
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered MD or DO Louisiana state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as a Radiologist
One year of EMR experience
Board Certified
Possession of board certification or equivalent credentials in radiology.
Demonstrated proficiency in teleradiology practices during evening shifts.
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Comprehensive understanding of diagnostic imaging protocols and quality assurance standards.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Commitment to delivering timely and accurate radiological interpretations.
Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, technology-driven work environment in Western New York.
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
