BC/BE General Radiologist for Diagnostics and some intervention
(full-time, part-time and per diem opportunities)
North Country Healthcare is seeking a full-time, experienced, BC/BE Diagnostic Radiologist to provide diagnostic and some intervention for Coos County in Northern NH.
Fellowship training in body imaging, ultrasound, MRI, or breast imaging is a plus.
* Expertise and experience in the interpretation of MRI, CT, US, Breast Imaging, DEXA, X-Ray required.
* Demonstrated competence and interest in common interventional procedures, including but not limited to: various image (CT or ultrasound) guided procedures; thoracentesis, paracentesis, and other drainages; arthrocentesis and injection of contrast for MR arthrograms; liver and lung biopsies; aspirations or biopsies of soft tissues and thyroid; aspiration of breast cysts; needle localization for biopsy of breast mass or mammographic abnormality.
* Demonstrated competence and comfort with plain films, bone densiotometry, fluoroscopy, mammography (including 3D tomosynthesis), CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and MRI.
* On site weekdays (5 days/week), 8 am to 5 pm at three hospitals in Coos County - Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin (19,000 exams annually), Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster (12,000 exams annually) and Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook (7,000 exams annually).
* Teleradiology vendor for final interpretations to all exams outside of regular work hours and availability for interpretation of selected studies during periods of high demand.
* Interest in serving as Medical Director and Radiation Safety Officer, lead Interpreting Radiologist for selected ACR-certified modalities, and willingness to support existing ACR-certified modalities preferred.
