A locum tenens opportunity in teleradiology is available in Southern Texas. This position features flexible scheduling within a modern clinical framework and emphasizes excellence in remote imaging interpretation, leveraging advanced telemedicine protocols to support precise diagnostic assessments in a competitive practice environment.
Responsibilities
Partnered with a hospital in southern Texas with an opportunity for a Teleradiologist to provide locum coverage.
Opportunity Details:
Flexible Schedule:
Monday-Friday and weekends, 10-7a
Neuro focus and general DX
Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Body cases, prostate and rectal MRs, PETs
Weekends, 1p-11p
Neuro focus and general DX
Case Volume: 56-65 RVUs per shift
Will be reading for multiple facilities from one list
Must be board-certified

Interpret diagnostic imaging studies remotely with accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
Communicate findings effectively with referring physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate prompt and precise diagnostic interpretations.
Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of all teleradiology consultations and reports.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and institutional policies related to radiology practices.
Utilize advanced teleradiology systems and technologies to support efficient case management.
Provide continuous professional development and support to enhance the quality of remote radiological services.
Qualifications
Possession of board certification in Radiology with a strong emphasis on diagnostic imaging.
Extensive experience in teleradiology, underscoring proficiency in remote diagnostic assessment.
Valid licensure to practice in the state of Texas, ensuring adherence to local regulatory standards.
Demonstrated capability in utilizing advanced imaging software and telecommunication platforms.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality and clinical accuracy.
Proven track record of collaboration with multidisciplinary medical teams in a remote setting.
Strong analytical skills paired with an unwavering dedication to clinical excellence.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Active unencumbered MD or DO Texas state license
Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
One year of work experience as a Radiologist
One year of EMR experience
Board Certified
Possession of board certification or equivalent credentials in radiology.
Demonstrated proficiency in teleradiology practices during evening shifts.
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
