This is an opportunity to be employed by Ephraim McDowell Health Resources (EMHR), a comprehensive organization with a 222-bed acute care medical center located in Danville, Kentucky- a town of approximately 28,000 people located in the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky that is home to Centre College. and is about 35 minutes from Lexington.  EMRMC is a Level 3 trauma center that sees 30,000 ED visits annually.  To help Ephraim McDowell Health meet the communities’ needs, we have distinguished medical staff offering more than 30 specialties.  Many of those physicians have been in our community for 25 years or more.  EMRMC has a robust Hospitalist group that covers inpatient coverage for those physicians who want to focus on 100% outpatient medicine. 

Recruitment of a rheumatology is due to a strong community need and to support the hospital’s medical staff.  The community currently has one physician who practices one day a month in the community thus causing patients to travel to metropolitan areas to seek rheumatology care.

The rheumatologist can expect to work a four to five day week in an out-patient setting.

The physician can expect to build a busy practice quickly and see up to 20 plus patient visits per day. 

EMRMC administration is very supportive of this recruitment effort and the development in the rheumatology service program at EMHR.

 Compensation and Benefits:

    This is a three year employed agreement with Ephraim McDowell Health Resources:

• Year One: Guaranteed Salary based on local market conditions. 
• Year Two and Year Three: Base Salary plus productivity
• There is no cap to potential income
