An accomplished Rheumatologist is sought to provide exemplary care in diagnosing and managing various rheumatic disorders, employing state-of-the-art methodologies and evidence-based practices. This role requires engagement with multidisciplinary teams, fostering advancements in musculoskeletal medicine while upholding the highest standards of ethical clinical practice to enhance overall patient outcomes.

The perfect candidate must have a passion for developing and growing this new division. Hospital call will be approximately 1:6, shared with local private practice Rheumatologists. The Rheumatology practice will have Advanced Practitioner support. Academic medical center providing teaching and research opportunities for all clinical divisions.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnosing and managing autoimmune disorders and musculoskeletal conditions with precision.

  • Developing and implementing personalized treatment strategies based on comprehensive clinical evaluations.

  • Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to identify rheumatologic conditions in a timely manner.

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, holistic patient care.

  • Educating patients on disease progression, therapeutic options, and preventive measures.

  • Monitoring patient responses and making evidence-based adjustments to treatment protocols.

  • Maintaining meticulous, confidential records in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications
  • Possesses board certification in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics with specialized fellowship training in Rheumatology.

  • Demonstrates extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal disorders.

  • Exhibits proficiency in the interpretation of diagnostic imaging and laboratory evaluations pertinent to rheumatic diseases.

  • Maintains an in-depth knowledge of both conventional and innovative treatment modalities.

  • Upholds adherence to the highest standards of ethical patient care and clinical practice.

  • Engages in continuous professional development and research to advance therapeutic outcomes.

  • Collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient management.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)

  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

  • Active unencumbered MD or DO ENT Pennsylvania state license

  • Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program

  • One year of work experience as an Rheumatologist

  • One year of EMR experience

  • Board Certified

  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.

  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs.

  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

  • A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

  • Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
