The Opportunity: This is an opportunity to be employed by Ephraim McDowell Health Resources (EMHR), affiliation with Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center , (EMRMC), a 222-bed, Level III trauma center located in Danville, Kentucky, a city of 28,000 located approximately 35 miles southwest of Lexington and 75 miles southeast of Louisville. The population of the primary service area for the hospital is 120,000. The hospital’s Emergency Department receives near 30,000 visits per year. Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, a 25-bed critical access facility, is part of the EMHR family and is located approximately 11 miles from Danville in Stanford, Kentucky. Also in the health system are 11 primary care facilities and 10 specialty clinics throughout a six-county service area.
To help Ephraim McDowell Health meet the communities’ needs, we have distinguished medical staff offering more than 30 specialties. Many of those physicians have been in our community for 25 years or more. We continue to grow and recently have added new physicians to our medical staff, including primary care providers, general surgery, orthopedists and hospitalists all for the purpose of expanding the availability of services needed in our community. The candidate would be joining an excellent team of medical physicians. Our vascular surgeon would perform cases in the operating room suites and our state of the art cath lab. The candidate will also join a team of five, employed cardiologists in a newly, 8000 square foot renovated Heart and Vascular Institute, conveniently located across from the regional medical center. The candidate would have call 1:4.

Compensation:
This is a three year employed agreement with Ephraim McDowell Health Resources:
- Year 1: Guaranteed Salary based on local market conditions.
- Year 2 and Year 3: Base Salary plus productivity
- There is no cap to potential income

- Continuing medical education allowance of $6,000.00 annually. In addition, 5 days of CME time are allotted without impacting paid time off.
