Job Description

Providence Alaska Medical Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Clinical Psychologist to join its Primary Care Integrated Behavioral Health Program. Our Behavioral Health Providers are integral members of our patient care teams that include PCPs, RNs, RN Case Managers, Certified Medical Assistants, Clinical Care Coordinators, and a psychiatrist. You will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team in providing compassionate and empathetic care to help improve the overall health of our patients. As a Behavioral Health Provider in our integrated program, you will perform several duties including: evaluating and stabilizing patients who may be in crisis while in clinic, conducting diagnostic interviews and making treatment recommendations for patients referred to you by their PCP, providing brief, solution-focused therapy when appropriate, participating in bi-weekly care team meetings, consulting with staff on behavioral health topics and patient care, and following patients who have been referred to community resources until other services become available.   • Full-time; clinic day schedule
  • Masters or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or health-related field
  • Current State of Alaska license as Clinical Psychologist
  • 2 years of experience providing family or individual therapy
  • Strong foundational knowledge of comprehensive mental health issues in both theory and practice
  • Knowledge, training, and experience utilizing assessment techniques and evidence-based interventions for specific populations
