Essential Qualifications: Doctorate Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited doctoral program with demonstrated productivity in scientific research in mental health. Must be licensed, or licensed-eligible and able to become licensed quickly, to practice as an independent licensed psychologist (LP) in the State of Kansas. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to all aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion. The drive and ability to achieve and sustain scientific excellence in research is a priority. Applicants should possess a competitive research portfolio that includes a track record of intramural and/or extramural research funding, manuscript publication and presentations at national and international meetings.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong preference for clinical experience and interest in psychological diagnostic assessment and treatment of patients with psychiatric and/or medical conditions in an academic health setting. At least two years supervised experience (including internship/post-doctoral fellowship) is desired, as well as familiarity with telehealth communication and psychotherapy, and working collaboratively with other medical professionals. History of extramural funding is desirable. The application should include a discussion of the applicant’s most significant scientific contributions to date and areas of future research interest. Please include an ORCID ID if available. Supervision experience is preferred. Bilingual fluency is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities and Duties: The individual selected for this position will join a rapidly expanding, 19-member Psychology Division. The position will combine service provision in our multidisciplinary mental and behavioral health ambulatory clinic with research activities. The incumbent will be expected to sustain an innovative, individual program of psychological research and demonstrate research productivity through funding and publication with engagement in interdisciplinary collaborations desired. The psychologist will have the opportunity to work with talented trainees including psychology postdoctoral fellows, interns, and graduate students/externs, and psychiatric or medical fellows, residents and students. The psychologist will be supported within and outside the Department by fellow researchers and clinicians.
