The Psychology Resident's primary functions within the Patient-Centered Medical Home are providing brief assessment, evidence-based interventions and consultation/trainings to the primary care team. The Psychologist Resident assists patients/families, providers and staff to achieve high quality, evidence-base, cost-effective, and patient-focused outcomes. The Psychology Resident works under supervision and performs all duties in a manner that promotes team concepts and reflects the Providence Health & Services mission, philosophy, and core values as well as maintaining the principles and ethics of their discipline. Required qualifications:
- PhD or PsyD degree from an APA-accredited or Regionally accredited program that meets APA accreditation standards.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience including evaluation, diagnosis, and intervention of psychiatric and substance use disorders and related physical health and medical conditions. Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in primary care or other medical settings.
