Job Description

Seeking a full-time Psychologist to join the Providence Medical Group Center for Weight Management, which is the only center in Oregon to receive accreditation in Bariatric Surgery and Obesity Medicine from the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and Accreditation Quality Improvement Program. With a busy practice at Providence Portland Medical Center, this team is expanding services to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center and hiring another full-time behavioral health provider. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes registered dietitians, surgeons, nurse practitioners, and other clinical support staff. This is a great opportunity for a new or established Psychologist to learn from the current BHP and assist the West clinic in a full-time capacity as volumes increase. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting pre-surgical evaluations and providing individual and group support for patients considering weight-loss surgery. Other duties include working with patients in a non-surgical, medical weight management program, conducting HMR and fresh food evaluations, supporting healthy lifestyle changes and running support groups.

  • 4,10-hour shifts schedule preferred; Monday to Thursday
  • Experience with bariatric, eating disorder, or weight loss programs preferred
