Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a RN Case Manager to support Federal Occupational Health Services at the U.S. Secret Service health unit. This contract position offers: - Full Time, Monday-Friday Hours 0800 - 1630 - No Weekends - No On-Call - Any State License Accepted - Opportunity to care for Federal Employees in highly sought after work settings - Competitive compensation and full complement of benefits Job Requirements The RN Case Manager position requires: - Graduate from a National League of Nursing accredited school (Diploma, AD or BSN) - RN licensure with CPR/AED and Case Management Certification plus two (2) years experience in OH - 2 Year experience in Occupational Health, a minimum of (1) year shall be in case management - Must be knowledgeable in worker's compensation and Americans with Disabilities Act Guidelines - Must be knowledgeable in orthopedics Preferred Qualifications (but not required): - Health care provider (e.g., RN, fitness provider, health educator, safety professional) or an individual with training and certification from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., American Cancer Society) with a minimum of thirty (30) hours of group presentation experience in adult health education. - Knowledge of OSHA hearing requirements. - Knowledge of interpretation of medical test findings (including spirometry, EKG.). - Demonstrated experience performing Case management in the following areas: - Worker’s compensation case management - Disability case management - Review of fitness for duty records to include making recommendations for medical qualifications - Medical records screening - COHN or COHN-S preferred (but not required) Tasks: Coordinates health care needs and makes referrals to medical specialists; assesses and treats minor health problems; administers emergency care and provides individual health counseling. Assesses work-related injuries/illnesses for off-site emergency care, communicates with treating private physician, and provides follow-up. Maintains the Office of Workers Compensation Program log. Coordinates with other agency personnel concerning early return to work and assists in writing light duty job descriptions and evaluations. Coordinates all administrative activities at the SPS and ensures all services have been entered into the FOHS MIS.
