Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deputy Program Manager to work directly with Program Manager to temporarily house homeless Veterans in the El Paso, Texas area.
- Will be performing transportation of Veterans as needed.
- Will be ensuring proper facilities and accommodations as described in the solicitation are provided with sufficient security.
- Will be ensuring Veterans are provided with three healthy meals a day, and have proper laundry facilities available to them.
- Will be coordinating group activities as appropriate – Alcoholics Anonymous, vocational assistance counseling, and collaboration with appropriate VA staff to ensure provisioning of supportive psychosocial functioning and recovery.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Must be organized and take direction from the RN-PM in supervising up to 14 homeless Veterans.
- Will be checking facility or facilities to ensure Veterans have adequate housing, meals, laundry, and personal amenities such as toothbrush/toothpaste, deodorant, etc.
- Must be able to drive…and be comfortable driving a van or SUV
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
Physical Requirements:
Must be physically fit and be able to perform all of the work requirements.Will be dealing with homeless/disadvantaged Veterans daily and will need to be positive, upbeat, energetic and able to motivate and assist these Veterans on a day-to-day basis.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be up to date on all vaccinations and TB.
