The annual 1838 Mountain Man Rendezvous features a weeklong re-creation of a trapper's and trader's encampment with games of skill, food, dancing and entertainment. The Riverton Rendezvous, a weeklong event held during the second and third weeks of July, celebrates the city's founding in 1906 with a hot-air balloon rally, Arts in the Park, street dances, the Rocky Mountain Car and Bike Show, and a WRA rodeo. The Wild West Winter Carnival, held each February, offers ice sculpting, casino nights, and tethered balloon rides.
