According to the latest US Census report, the city of Eagle Pass has a population of 26,248. The City offers an academically recognized school system, the Eagle Pass Independent School District, with 14 elementary schools, 2 junior high schools and 2 high schools. Higher learning consists of a branch of South West Texas Junior College and a branch of Sul Ross State University Rio Grande College out of Uvalde, Texas. There are also excellent medical and financial services available.
